Abstract:
With liberalisation, new techniques, new transmission and transport platforms like the Internet creating new media outlets, the media sector will be subject to substantial industrial change over the next 5 to 10 years.
This research project answers, via a scenario exercise, 2 questions:
1. How will digitisation change existing media, create new media and subsequently affect employment and occupations?
2. What responses are called for on the part of social partners and policy makers in order to take advantage of the changes underway
